Intertecsupabrainbeatzroomboyz are a Paris based duo between Erik Minkkinen [laptop] and Andy Bolus [laptop, modified toys]. Both have recorded with a wide range of artists worldwide including their own outfits Sister Iodine, Discom [Erik] and Evil Moisture [Andy] as well as in different project settings with Noel Akchote, Yamatsuka Eye, Andrew Sharpley, Dorine_Muraille etc.. Erik Minkkinen also co-runs the artist collective Buero, who are the main organisers for experimental music events in Paris. A wonderfully chaotic tour de force, using a wide range of sounds and full of ideas are banned on this EP. If "Smells like T een Spirit" made sense once (but really just once ) -- And I'll leave to our beloved customers the wise choice of which "happiness is like a warm gun" is correct here -- I personally myself, could never resist a stupid joke (either). Let me just quote the one and lonely BBC Alternative to T op of the Pops, namely the best, our Cheri Amour "Blackadder": Once upon a time there was a little SAUSAGE ... (Lovely isn't it?). If it really does smell like T een Spirit why not just be honest and say that it could, all on the same basis, simply smell like: White Spirit, V on Fass Spirit, T een's underwear , Smells like vomit all over a place (oops did it again, that is the clue to Britney's hit we shall believe.) and even what about "Felt like no fuckin teen in there" or and of course, "Smells like you gonna have to clean up your room quickly cause it really does smell like messed up teen spirit for fuck sake!!!" (as quoted by the Lord of the Rings or Elton John, can't quite remember right now). Is there a logic ? No sir . Is there a message? No sir . Is there a truth inside the cake then? YES SIR! Nein, ich meine ein wirklich neues Label, nicht bloss ein Postfach fuer abgelehnte Demos. Und hier gleich die ersten drei Veroeffentlichungen: A*Class, Augsburger Tafelconfect und nicht zuletzt: intertecsupabrainbeatzroomboyz. Also lasst uns mit den Letztgenannten (den Namen werde ich nicht wiederholen, das ist mir zu riskant) und der wunderbaren Nummer "69 Luftgitarren" beginnen: Ungefaehr zwanzig Minuten ein reines Etwas. Ich kann es nicht wirklich beschreiben. Davon abgesehen ist es ueberirdisch, laengst ersehnt, begnadet und gesegnet. Das Album ist ein wenig elektronisch und etwas pariserisch, etwa so als ob zwei Typen (Andy Bolus and Erik Minkkinen) nach ihrem Auftritt in einer garstigen Vorstadt versuchen ihren Weg zurueck nach "Downtown" zu finden und sich dabei natuerlich verlaufen. Diesbezueglich ist das Wort "rein" angebracht: In aller Reinheit verlaufen. Zum Naechsten: Augsburger Tafelconfect betiteln ihr Album "Fusion In The Slaughterhaus". Eigentlich dachte ich, dass Schlachthaus und Fusion-Musik so ziemlich das Gleiche ausdruecken, jedoch wurde mir beim Hoeren der CD der feine Unterschied bewusst. Das Eine ist wohl der Platz, wo die Musik gespielt werden sollte. Schnelle Collagen voller Tricks, doch immer auf der scharfen Seite. Es erinnert mich daran was Autechre nie tun, obwohl sie beide aehnlich begonnen hatten. Ebenfalls ein gutes Album (der Genuss verdoppelt sich, wenn Sie einen Leiterwagen-Katalog zur Hand haben) ist "Ain't No Future But Our Future" von A*class. Eine Frau und ein Typ, die in einem ziemlichen "Pop-Pop- Stil Knoepfe drehen, und dazu natuerlich auch singen. Gerade mal vier Tracks voller ernsthafter Aussagen in einer kaputten Bigbeat- Umgebung. Wahrscheinlich rockt das live in Clubs so wirklich. Achten Sie auf die Texte, Ihnen werden wirklich keine Luegen aufgetischt. Also sind Sie bereit fuer ein neues Label voller guter Nachrichten?
